Creating this magazine is a lot of fun. It’s been a great way for me to share some of who I am with the community. Planning, writing and producing each issue creates for me, the space to think about the bigger picture – how real estate fits into the larger conversation about urban development, sustainability, healthy communities, and the importance of making wise and prudent choices for our families and our environment. I’m reminded of how our individual choices really can make a difference.
Tendanda Via, the way must be tried. I was recently reminded of the importance of these words
and the intent behind them at our daughter’s university graduation (she’s now an RN!) I remember hearing the same latin words when I graduated from the same university 26 years ago. Life goes by so quickly and the choices we make shape our lives. One of the best decisions we ever made for our family was to have a cottage. Georgian Bay has been a place for our daughter to grow up, to learn about herself, about others, about her parents (yup, she got to see the “real us!), about nature & the environment, and the importance of community. Our family cottage has grounded us during times of
challenge, has given us lasting memories, has created excitement in us every summer season, and most of all – it has reminded us of who we are to each other. And so, I say “cheers” to Tendanda Via, the way must be tried!
