Parry Sound 09 11 copyWow! What a year it has been so far in the Parry Sound-Muskoka district real estate sales market.  As of August 1, 2015 Parry Sound real estate sales have shot up 22% year-over-year in terms of the number of
sales and total sales dollars volume, with the total number of listings year-to-date only being up 1%!We have been busy and our strategies have produced outstanding results so far in 2015, and the fall market is looking very strong.  We are educators, and I spend countless hours educating Buyers and working with Sellers to ensure that they have the information that they need to make informed real estate choices.  Supported by Karen’s administrative and marketing skills, I’m able to provide ongoing information and maintain open lines of communication throughout the buying and selling process.

Working with Sellers, we take a team approach to ensure that each of my client’s receives the care and service that they deserve.  I believe that it is not enough to list a property and have it available only through realtor.ca.  The Phillips Team has a very strong marketing strategy that includes a multifaceted Custom built home/cottageapproach to showcasing your property across a number of mediums.  These mediums include a comprehensive social media platform, direct participation in cottage and home trade shows in the GTA, and print media that includes our professionally designed and written real estate magazine (distributed strategically throughout the GTA and the Parry Sound-Muskoka district), and participation with strategic print partners to maximize the exposure of your property.   These strategies combined with an entrepreneurial approach to business and a team approach to customer service, enables The Phillips Team to work with Sellers to get their homes and cottages sold for good money and in a timely manner.

IMG_3582I actively pursue Buyers from the GTA through participation in the Fall Cottage Life Show, the National Home Show, and the Spring Cottage Life Show.  Today, Buyers have a very specific list of wants and needs in a cottage lifestyle, and they are intelligent, qualified Buyers who are extremely discerning.  These folks are drawn to the Parry Sound area because of its beauty, its amenities, and the incredible cottage lifestyle that it can provide. However, many of them are not familiar with the multitude of nuances that make-up the cottage country real estate market.  I spend time educating Buyers about the area and teaching them about the nuances of the various cottage country neighbourhoods, the different inland lakes, Georgian Bay and much more.  When Buyers are provided with relevant and specific information about the area(s) they are exploring, they are able to make informed, educated real estate dIMG_3859ecisions. This is a process and one that The Phillips Team engages in whole heartedly!
